Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Hintway, operated by Dyweb ("we," "our," or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our analytics platform and services (the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, company name, and password
  • Payment Information: Billing address and payment method details (processed securely by our payment providers)
  • Profile Information: Optional information you choose to provide
  • Communications: Messages, feedback, and support requests

2.2 Analytics Data You Submit

When you use our Service to track your applications:

  • Event data from your applications (games, software)
  • User behavior metrics and usage patterns
  • Custom data points you configure
  • Performance and technical metrics

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: How you interact with our Service, features used, time spent
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers
  • Log Data: access times, pages viewed, referring URLs
  • Cookies: Session cookies and preference cookies (see Section 8)

2.4 First-Party Analytics on Our Own Website and App

We use our own product (Hintway) to measure how our website (hintway.app) and app (dashboard.hintway.app) are used, so we can understand and improve our sign-up funnel. This "self-analytics" collects:

  • Identifiers: a persistent anonymous identifier stored in your browser's local storage (key hintway.analytics.id) and a per-visit session identifier
  • Interaction events: page views, sections viewed, scroll depth, time engaged, and clicks on buttons, navigation and outbound links
  • Acquisition data: referral/campaign parameters from the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, ref) and the referring page
  • Technical metadata: browser platform, app version, timestamps, and an approximate location (e.g. country) that may be derived from your IP address
  • Account activity (signed-in users): your account identifier and current plan, associated with product events such as account creation, login, email verification, project and dashboard creation, and subscription/checkout events

To measure the journey from a first anonymous visit through to sign-up and subscription, we pass a short anonymous identifier (hw_aid) from our website to our app when you follow a call-to-action, and associate it with your account when you register. This lets us attribute a sign-up to the original visit and marketing source.

Legal basis (EEA/UK): where required, we rely on your consent for non-essential analytics and, where applicable, on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our Service. You can decline or withdraw consent at any time (see Sections 7 and 8).

This data is used solely to understand and improve our own Service. It isnever sold, rented, or traded, and it is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes (see Section 4).
